Everyone has their favourite ‘break in case of emergency’ fast food burger. In our household that is typically the Zinger Tower Burger or a trusty double cheeseburger. But sometimes a burger is best enjoyed with friends, in the evening sunshine, sitting at an actual table, preferably with a beer. That is where B’Perfect Burgeurs comes in. Tucked away behind Instituto Superior Técnico you will find strings of fairy lights next to a park and a chalkboard promoting the happiest of Happy Hours - yes, proximity to the university means an imperial here is still just €1 before 7pm. Send your pals a drop-pin, order in the beers, and choose from 13 burgers. We only tried two of them - the B Student and the B Spicy - but based on these, we are confident the other burgers will also be juicy, cooked well, on a brioche bun, with a serving of crinkle chips and some interesting dipping sauces on the side. Treat yourself to some BBQ chicken wings while you wait, safe in the knowledge that you’ll be out of there for about €15 each. Unless, of course, you also partake in the jugs of cocktails, which were doing a roaring trade the night we visited.
